Commonwealth Games Delhi
Against a background of high expectations, political turbulence and tough logistical conditions, Arena Overlay played a pivotal part in delivering the events infrastructure at the Delhi 2010 Commonwealth Games.
Arena Overlay’s bespoke event infrastructure included three competition venues and 18 training venues, all fully maintained throughout the Games and removal of the temporary overlay afterwards.
Arena Overlay’s impressive temporary stadium hosted the popular Rugby Sevens, with more than 200 associated temporary structures, 7,000 capacity seating grandstands, power, media facilities, lighting and contemporary furnishings.
As thousands of athletes, spectators and media descended upon Delhi, Arena Overlay demonstrated its expanding international overlay capabilities, providing full event solutions for the largest international multi-sport event to ever be staged in India.
